Pre-Religion Studies Academy

Engaging Religious Difference

Why Pre-Religion Studies?

Pre-Religion Studies are framed in the study of human societies, how their cultures develop, how their local physical and social landscapes shape that development, and how their societies shape the local physical and social landscapes.

In the context of the study of human societies, students are introduced to the social scientific and historical comparative study of religions. Students explore the social and personal dimensions of religion through history, how religion shapes people and their experience of the world, and how it is shaped by people.

Courses also expose students to the study of worldview and conversational ways to both discern a persons worldview and to foster dialogue that may lead to faithful Christian witness.
