Bio

Prof. Sublime Mabiala is a missiologist who specializes in issues related to international development. His research has explored missional responses to Islamic global expansion, a theology of participation for social transformation, and the nexus between religion and political participation in post-conflict contexts. He has taught and served as a public relations manager in theological institutions and universities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has served as a university chaplain, an associate pastor, a consultant for an international mission agency, a coordinator of church planting and development, and a radio and TV producer. Prof. Mabiala has presented and served as a panel discussion guest at the African Studies Association UK (Wales, Senegal, England), at the African Association for Study of Religions (Zambia), Congolese Diaspora in the USA, (DC), Center for Theology and Public Issues (Scotland), and various conferences (DR Congo, USA, Francophone Africa). Prof. Mabiala is fluent in seven languages and dialects. He will be serving at Missional University from Côte d'Ivoire.
