How this course relates to missional core values

Biblically based

Christ-followers who desire personal spiritual development and are called to make disciples of others must follow biblical Great Commission directives. This course examines those directives in detail.

Missionally driven

Living life on mission requires first "being" a disciple, then natural and progressive effort toward "making" disciples of others. This course presents both of these states in the life of the missional Christ-follower.

Contextually informed

While this course is not designed to accomplish the spiritual formation of the individual student, the context is more internal than external. This course allows students to investigate various disciplemaking strategies and build one of their own that is natural for them to use.

Interculturally focused

The essentials of disciplemaking are biblically-based standards that may be utilized toward spiritual growth in any setting. This course presents these standards in such a way that the practice of missional disciplemaking may be carried out in both one's own culture and interculturally.

Practically minded

Missional Christ-followers are called to make disciples. This course offers the foundation to naturally and effectively accomplish that calling.

Experientially transformed

Personal spiritual development is at the core of disciplemaking. This course gives students the tools to both grow spiritually and assist others to do the same.
