An exploration of the Biblical material for understanding spiritual warfare. The student will also explore the theology, the history, the cultural, and the contextual basis for understanding spiritual warfare as a missional reality to be recognized and engaged in.
Every missionally engaged student must recognize the reality of spiritual warfare; in fact, many mission agencies will not appoint missionaries unless they have taken courses on Spiritual Warfare. Therefore, the student will learn to recognize the various understanding and misunderstandings of Biblical spiritual warfare and gain the proper biblical, theological, historical, and contextual understanding and develop strategies for engaging in victorious spiritual warfare.
Spiritual warfare is a ministerial and missiological reality. Students must understand the Biblical truth about spiritual warfare and be prepared for engagement in both ministry and missional living.
The student will engage the biblical text and will develop a biblical theology of spiritual warfare.
