TED4500EN - Contextual Theology of Education

Course description

Contextual Theology of Education roots pedagogical practice in the particularity of place, history, language, and social location while remaining anchored in the omnipresence of Christ. From God’s accommodation in Scripture to the incarnation’s embeddedness in first-century Judaism, the course examines how divine pedagogy always meets people where they are. Students learn to design curricula, assessments, and learning experiences that honor local narratives, languages, and histories without succumbing to syncretism, forming students who read both Scripture and context with prophetic charity.
