Students will learn to apply program management for their organization’s advocacy goals. Program planning and execution is the process by which the vision, mission, and overarching goals are aligned to achieve measurable outcomes in assisting military and veteran families. Also included in program planning include strategy, tactics, timeline, resources, and proper feedback.
Undertanding the issues and desiring to help are not enough to develop an effective programs. This course will assist students to help them develop strategic assessment, planning, and execution, all which are necessary for program development.
This course works to build programs and systems which wlil make a real-life impact for the military family.
Proper planning, preparation, and execution is a biblical theme--to "sit down and count the costs" (Luke 14:28). Plans fail for lack of counsel (Prov. 15:22). It’s also a biblical theme to know your context and plan accordingly.
If workers desire to live out their missional calling in advocating for military families, they must learn to plan and evaluate their ministry progams.
A course on program planning would help missional workers have a greater impact in their work environment.
