Course description

This course will expand on the content of generalist practice and integrate those theories, methods and skills as they apply to working with individuals and families. The basis of the course is social work values and the ethical decision-making process, as described by the NASW Code of Ethics and a spiritual foundation. The course provides an in-depth examination of the helping process within the context of an ecosystems/developmental framework. This course encompasses engaging clients in an appropriate working relationship, communication skills, identifying issues, problems, needs, resources, and assets, and planning for service delivery.
