This course will explore diverse populations and the beliefs systems in the cultural that may influence rehabilitation counseling on an advanced level. Students will learn various cultures and gain insight about how treat client’s with rehabilitation needs through case studies.
This course will relate to students who want to identify and apply rehabilitation counseling for clients in need of rehabilitation services from diverse populations.
In today’s world, we are seeing an increase in injury, crime, and addictions among other stressors which create a need for rehabilitation counseling. This course will assist students in learning practices and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations needed to provide proper care to rehabilitation clients from diverse populations.
In this course, students will be focusing on Matthew 22:39 says: "And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself"
In Cultural Diversity for Rehabilitation Counseling, students will learn the importance to spread witness to people who need guidance, rehabilitation and support to diverse populations through God.
Throughout the Bible we are told to spread the word of Jesus as well as love our neighbors. Within our own communities, people from different populations are suffering from injuries to addictions to criminal charges. Through this course, future counselors will learn to communicate and address client's needs.
In this course, students will learn how mental illness influences those from diverse populations as well as how to treat them including their cultural beliefs.
This course will emphasis the importance of ministry to those client's in need of rehabilitation by using knowledge gained from the course to assess and deliver resources to those in need by means of the Bible for knowledge in ministry.
Through the use of case studies, students will become prepared to practice within the scope of their field to client’s from diverse populations.
