Course description

This course explores the fundamentals for nonprofit formation. Ten core issues guide the discussion: Governance and leadership, board management, strategic planning and implementation, government regulations and compliance, policies, and procedures, staffing and recruitment of volunteers, fundraising, financial management, technology, marketing, and communication. The course explores by laws and discusses the IRS determination letter. Students enhance their knowledge base and expertise for effective management.
