Examination of the worldview and lived experience of Wiccans, Satanists, and the Free Masons. Students will be become aware of the various doctrines and practices of each group and where they depart from orthodox Christianity. Special attention will be given the dangers inherent in occult practice and reaching those in the occult.
Students ministering to those in the occult need to be aware of the beliefs and lived experience of Wiccans, Satanists, and the Free Masons and know the important theological differences between orthodox Christian theology and these religious movements. This class will compare and contrast the theology of specific religious movements with sound Christian theology.
This course is important because it provides students with the knowledge of the beliefs and lived experience of those in the occult. In order to effectively minister to those in the occult, students need such knowledge.
