MLV3350EN - Advanced Residential Community Ministry

Course description

Once students know how to connect with residents in residential communities, they will now learn relationship-building skills. We will look at Jesus' use of networks and how He took the time to talk with people in different settings in order to alter the course of their lives and share the hope of personal salvation. Building relationships of trust is a labor that requires intentionality and confidence.

How this course benefits students

The beginning stages of ministry normally consist of connecting with the owner/manager and implementing events that are designed to allow meeting residents and staff. Students will now consider how to develop an ongoing ministry that deepens relationships and allows a number of ways to continue meeting new people and growing existing relationships. These skills expand a student’s resume to include practical ways of working with residents.

Why this course is important

Every missional leader will need to master the process of opening doors to the masses who live in multihousing settings.
