Course description

A comprehensive look at the dynamics of residential communities, with the view of utilizing ministry and chaplaincy skills to meet the needs of those who own and manage residential communities. The student explores the various associations and organizational structures that are essential to land acquisition, NIMBY issues, building, renovation, compliance, leasing, and fair housing considerations.

Students learn to develop and utilize social skills to go deeper in their relationships with apartment communities. They will also become confident in their understanding of how management companies operate. Learners will become familiar with a dual ministry that cultivates relationships with companies and residents.

Pulling from common chaplaincy resources, the learner will be better able to sustain dialog with industry leaders.
