How this course relates to missional core values

Biblically based

This eye-opening journey of studying the human body will upliftingly testify to the existence and omnipotence of a Creator and profoundly discredit the plausibility of evolution.

Missionally driven

Diligently comforting and caring for the sick and their families and not forsaking them regardless of the seriousness of the situation will powerfully witness to the Lord’s love.

Contextually informed

A working knowledge of the fundamentals of human physiology is central in the management of all maladies in any cultural context.

Interculturally focused

Selflessly attempting to heal the disease-stricken stranger emanates a spiritual love that bends and transcends all cultural barriers.

Practically minded

A foundational understanding of the normal ranges of human physiologic functions will be a useful parameter for comparatively gauging the seriousness of a sickness.

Experientially transformed

Despite being taught the fundamentals of human physiology in this course, the real learning does not occur until the students are engaged in hands-on healthcare in the mission field.
