Course description

This course will analyze the history of the United States from 1877 to the present. The students will review the growth of the United States from Post-Reconstruction to the global era. Specific emphasis will be placed on the social, cultural, political, and domestic issues of the U.S. and its emergence as a world power.

As an established country with its own internal conflicts and growing pains, the students will develop and understanding that the United States will embark on a new role as a global power that will influence countries around the globe throughout the modern era.

Why this course is important

The development of a new country is usually broader than our own missional concerns. This course is needed to expand our understanding of the complexities of continuously growing a country and how God influences its direction.
