Course description

Introduction to basic cartographic principles and the software and methods for designing, compiling, and constructing maps using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data and coordinate systems. An emphasis is placed on the use of free and open source software (FOSS) systems to create thematic maps for use in missional service.
