Youth leaders often deploy a “ready … fire … aim” approach. This course examines the fundamentals of urban ministry development (e.g. counting the cost, defining purpose, understanding urban context, implementing clear strategies), and presents strategic frameworks for youth ministry development.
People engaged in or seeking to enter urban youth ministry need tangible models and a solid biblical basis for urban youth development. This course will help students establish a framework out of which they can pursue a transformational ministry among the youth they serve/plan to serve.
Transformational Discipleship, as a missional approach to urban youth discipleship, is new to the urban ministry scene. Its focus on youth leadership multiplication at the grass-root level addresses a significant need in city-centers across the country.
The Transformational Discipleship approach to urban youth ministry is in large a call to reexamine urban youth ministry and rediscover a more biblical approach to urban youth ministry.
