Course description

This course explores the biblical, historical, philosophical, and missional foundations of Christian homeschooling. Students examine Scripture's teaching on parental responsibility, education's role in discipleship, and the missional purpose of preparing children for serving in the mission of God. The course covers various educational philosophies (classical, Charlotte Mason, unschooling, etc.) and helps Home School Educators articulate their own vision. Legal requirements, governmental regulations, record-keeping obligations, and accountability structures are thoroughly addressed. Home School Educators learn to navigate homeschool laws in their jurisdiction while developing a compelling educational mission statement that integrates faith, family values, and academic excellence for their unique household.
