Dr. Billy Moffett served for more than 20 years in law enforcement as a county probation officer, as a city patrolman, field training officer, robbery and homicide detective, hostage negotiation team member, and sergeant assigned to the Internal Affairs unit; as a federal probation officer for the US District Court of a major city, and as a law enforcement officer in the Department of Homeland Security of the United States federal government. In his career, he led and assisted investigations involving federal offenses that occur in the aviation environment including thefts, assaults, sexual assaults, identity theft, credit card fraud, bomb threats, stowaway, and aircraft piracy. He served as a Joint Terrorism Task Force Officer and assisted agents and law enforcement officers with criminal, counter-terrorism, and counterintelligence cases; and provided evidence to courts and other law enforcement agencies for the prosecution of criminal violators. Previously he taught criminal justice courses at the University of Phoenix. He and his family live in the United States.
