How this course relates to missional core values

Biblically based

This course is based on a biblical worldview and specifically focuses on Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." In order to create and run a successful online campaign, we must have a clear vision because a clear vision is what guides everything else we do. This course also focuses on the story of Nehemiah and how the power of his vision that came from God, allowed him to accomplish what he set out to do.

Missionally driven

Our goal is to see how God can and is working within the online world and how well developed and implemented social media campaigns allow students to fulfill the vision that God has given the organization that they work and/or volunteer for.

Contextually informed

This course helps students develop missional ministry approaches for local contexts through the effective use of social media campaigns.

Interculturally focused

Social media gives each and everyone the opportunity to reach people who are passionate about the organization that they are a part of. There are people all over the world who want to be a part of something bigger than they are, they want to feel a part of something that is making a difference. This course gives students the opportunity to see how their vision can transcend into social media campaigns that bring people together who are working for the common good of that organization.

Practically minded

Students want to be a part of something that is making a difference. This course gives students the opportunity to see how their vision can transcend into social media campaigns that bring people together who are working for the common good of that organization.

Experientially transformed

This course gives students the practical tools and insights that they need to develop a vision for their organization's social media campaigns.
