A discussion of human behavior in the workplace and rehabilitation at an advanced level. Students will learn the skills needed to return or enter into the work force. Students will learn how to apply rehabilitation practices for disabled clients who are unemployed as well as to clients who have a job market disadvantage due to various disabilities and/or mental illness. The course will explore both rehabilitation and counseling practices.
This course will relate to students on who want to serve in the capacity of assisting clients in need of rehabilitation services to return or enter the work force on an advanced level.
In today’s world, we are seeing an increase in injury, crime, and addictions among other stressors. This course assists students in learning practices and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations needed to provide proper vocational placement to their client’s.
In this course, students will be focusing on Phillipans 4:13 I an do all this who gives me strength.
In Rehabilitation in Business and Industry, students will learn the importance to spread witness and provide encouragement to people who need guidance, rehabilitation and support through God.
Throughout the Bible we are told to spread the word of Jesus as well as love our neighbors. We are also taught that with God, all things are possible. Within our own communities, people are suffering from injuries to addictions to criminal charges. Through this course, future counselors will learn practices and rehabilitation services for their client’s to enter the workforce and maintain steady employment.
In this course, students will learn about disabled clients in need of employment from diverse populations as well as how to treat them including their cultural beliefs.
This course will emphasis the importance of ministry to those client’s in need of rehabilitation and vocational assistance by using knowledge gained from the course to assess and deliver resources to those in need by means of the Bible for knowledge in ministry.
Through the course, students will learn state and federal laws and requirements and be able to relate these in the field as well as laws regarding accommodations for those in the workplace.
