Course description

This course examines the key challenges in nonprofit formation. Students understand how to effectively face these challenges. This course explores these challenges and provides tools, resources, and in-depth knowledge needed to resolve them strategically and effectively. Ten core issues guide the discussion: Information privacy, government regulations and tax codes, financial management, strategic alignment, leadership and management issues, organizational growth and talent retention, funding concerns and how to attract long-term investors, economic uncertainties, technologies and data management systems, organizational effectiveness, staffing and volunteering needs and infrastructure.
