Course description

This course focuses on healthcare approaches that are beneficial and acceptable to the patient and their family members. The object of patient-centered care is to educate the patient and keep them updated regarding their health so that they can engage in making informed decisions in the management of their illness.

Students need to familiarize themselves with the personal value system of the individual patient and select those patient-centered principles that will optimally conform to these discovered values in order that patient compliance and satisfaction will be maximally realized.
