Course description

Deep study of the salvific systems of India and the diversity of views as to the nature of God. Students will engage strategically in the task of explaining the Gospel to this different viewpoint.

Hindu and biblical theology will be compared from the stand point of the effective communication of truth.

The missional aspect of biblical truth and the effective means to communicate that in a Hindu context will be emphasized.

This class will emphasize both understanding Hindu thinking within their own context and also how to contextualize the message of biblical theology into the Hindu context.

These theology classes will also emphasize intercultural exchange through fieldwork and through guest speakers of other worldviews.

The course will encourage students to develop practical approaches to Hindus that speak into points of need in their worldview.
