Course description

This course provides an analytical framework to evaluate policies and procedures within the investigative arena; in addition, students will be exposed to innovative measures of technology and scientific assessment strategies that are employed to conduct crime scene investigations. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the analytical evaluation of how an investigation directly affects societal standards and the perception of justice alike.

How this course benefits students

The course assumes basic knowledge of the issues associated to crime scene investigations and management with the opportunity for students to advance their knowledge on an analytical level by contextually assessing the dynamics associated to investigating violence crime. Students will have the knowledge to evaluate the challenges that permeate the criminal justice system while being exposed to the mission associated to reaching, locating, and gathering evidence in preparation for court.
