Dr. Carla N. Thomas, with a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Clemson University, excels in academia and industry by combining her academic and professional experience to make significant contributions in the field. Her proficiency in teaching environmental studies courses to adult professional students, along with expertise in curriculum development and online instruction, defines her role at Missional University. Dr. Thomas has published extensively in environmental toxicology, addressing topics like the influence of brick air scrubber by-products on plant growth in journals such as Bioresource Technology, Chemosphere, and Environmental Technology. In addition to her academic endeavors, Dr. Thomas has an extensive professional background as a Compliance Manager, specializing in product regulatory compliance. She excels in handling regulatory affairs and product stewardship activities, ensuring business initiatives are compliant with various regulations, including TSCA, FIFRA, CEPA, and GHS. She has played a pivotal role in coordinating data collection, managing submissions, and serving as a subject matter expert on regulatory compliance.
