Dr. Vinod John was born and raised up in a traditional, religious Hindu family in Northern India. Through the influence of a pastor he and his family became Christians. He started a church planting movement in the Uttrakhand state in North India which now has more than 120 churches. Since 2011 he has served as a church planting pastor reaching Indian immigrants from Hindu and Sikh people groups in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He completed a PhD in Evangelization and Mission Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary. He serves as Senior Professor of Missional & Social Theology and as Asian Theology Specialist.
