Bio

Dr. Howard Woodruff has been appointed as the Dean of the School of Community Ministry. He also serves as the Professor of Crisis and Disaster Management. Dr. Woodruff is a Certified Master Chaplain/Trauma Expert by the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security, a Certified LIfe Coach, is an experienced Chaplain serving the Public Service Sector and a pastoral counselor who has assisted in national and international tragedies such as the Flight 800 tragedy, the 9-11 attacks in New York City, superstorm Katrina, and the Tsunami in India in 2004. He serves as a Regional Manager for the NorthCentral (PA) Task Force as a certified Incident Stress Debriefer, as the departmental chaplain for Centre LifeLink Emergency Services, and as a Pennsylvania State Police Chaplain. As an entrepreneur he established a nationwide consulting firm specializing in the development of emergency services systems. He has also served as a senior pastor, chief operating officer for an ambulance service, a director of business development and outreach services for a hospital, and a staff paramedic/instructor at a hospital. Dr. Woodruff completed a Master of Divinity at Palmer Theological Seminary (formerly Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary), and a Doctor of Ministry in Health and Spirituality from Wesley Theological Seminary. He and his family live in Pennsylvania.
